BHAIRABPUR NETAJI M.E. SCHOOL- AN EXAMPLE

There is an exceptional and unconventional school at the frontier district of Assam named as Bhairabpur Netaji ME School; which is around 45 km away from the Dhemaji district head quarter. The geographical location of the school is North Latitude- 27°-35/-42// and East Longitude- 94°-46/-10//, and 309 feet (94.18 meter) above sea level. (One can locate the school and get more information at Google Map by typing “Bhairabpur Netaji ME School in Assam”). This specific school is located in a very rural and backward place known as 2 No. Silablock Goan (under Pachim Muktiar cluster and Dhemaji Education Block)
It is known to all that the root key of all round development of a school depends upon the everlasting bond with the society. But it is quite a miracle that in a rural area, amidst an illiterate society this bond is glittered as the symbol of unification and understanding between the community and Bhairabpur Netaji ME School. It can be built into a bright school in all respects with an effective bond towards community; in regard to the concern sets a burning example.
Bhairabpur Netaji ME School is included under the 2 No. Silablock Goan. 2 No. Silablock Goan has its 780 native children. The concerned village has the highest number of children in the entire district of Dhemaji. But it is really a remarkable process that among 780 native children all are admitted at school. The main hidden treasure of all such is the consciousness of the guardians regarding education and their positive attitude towards education. The Teaching Staff, SMC, Mina Club, Mother Unit, Saturday Club and the other social server of the village gives their best to bring the awareness of the society regarding education. In this context the Mina Club played a vital role, accordingly they conducted a survey project, visiting door to door in identifying school going and drop out children and finally admitting those drop out children. Moreover keeping in mind the health of the community people Mina Club held a project on the topic “Drinking and Utilization of Pure Water” bringing an awareness among local community. With the collaboration of Mina Club and Saturday Club a wall magazine namely “PAKHILA” is published every year; keeping its aims and objectives in improvising the creativity, intellect, mental ability, literature, handwriting, drawing, and peer learning. Under the guidance and supervision of the Saturday Club and Teaching Staff the concerned school has been able to acquire first position in “Science Project Making And Demonstration” under the Dhemaji Educational Block and second position in the district level in the academic year 2011-2012
With the cooperation of the Student Union (SATRA SANSAD), teaching staff, guardian and honourable persons of the society ritual festivals, specific functions and special days are observed. Many a often honourable and specific resource persons are invited to the school in the occasion whenever opportunity been soughed. The resource person inspires and motivates the students a lot. The concerned school has a process to teach the value of self dependence. There is a shop named “KALPATARU” to be conducted by the students in their turn. It helps to know the students learn communicative skill, draw managerial techniques, mode of interaction and build up mathematical concept. Noteworthy as it provides the materials in a very low price to help those in need.
To improve the affectivity, love and humanity of the children “Child Welfare Fund” is formed in this school. It enriches co-scholastic aspects (helping hands, small saving and donation etc.) also.
Mother Unit, Saturday Club, SMC and Teaching Staff all remains present in the morning assembly and try to provide error free morning assembly. They also help their hands in the fruitful implementation of the Mid Day Meal scheme and also inspire the learners for been regular to the school. It goes without mention that a keen eye is kept upon the proper sanitation and hygiene facility of the school.
The learners of the concerned school are able to bring glory to the school in all the programs held by Sarva Siksha Abhijan Mission and Assam Mahila Samata Society etc. The participation of learners in the innovative programmes such as handicraft exhibition, meaningful song to a picture, meaningful picture to story, social work, physical exercise, cultural programmes etc. are praiseworthy. Moreover active participation of children are been witnessed in friendly school visit, explore visit, field study, survey etc held. The success lies behind the hard work and dedication of all the concerned committee, unit, club, teaching staff etc; those related to the concerned school.
Further the Bhairabpur Netaji ME School has brought about much more glory and fame by achieving “The Best School Award” from SSA, Dhemaji in the academic session 2013. Overwhelmed by the “Best Teacher Award” to the Head master of the school namely Sri Gopal; Chandra Deb by district administrative for the year 2012. The degree of glory has much more increased by the 100% (six out of six) success in the Chief Minister Special Scholarship Exam 2013.
Through the scheme of “Smart School” the teaching-learning process has been made more alive, systematic and joyful. The students of the concerned school as well as the neighboring schools are benefited by the introduction of computer knowledge.
he school authority has been able to create a neat and convenient image among the community by social audits organized regularly. As a result the community people have full trust upon the school and their full hand cooperation has been built up. Resulting in community people put forward donation such as material, labour, advice etc. A work never turns successful without proper planning. It is quite exceptional that with the help of the community the school development plan is prepared every year. Through this plan school and community proceeds hand in hand.
The documentation of the school is highly praiseworthy as it is kept manually, computerized and also made public by inclusion of all data’s in web. The school has its own web site (www.bnmes.wordpress.com); where one can visit and know further about the school. Or else one can search conveniently via Google by typing “Bhairabpur Netaji ME School”.
The present head master of Bhairabpur Netaji ME School, Sri Gopal Chandra Deb (Contract no. 9957838400, E-mail: gcd_slp@rediffmail.com) took his charge on 1st July 2003. Its before he took charge most of the community people did not took part in the school activities as they believed that it is a government institution. But the credit goes to the present head master of the school and the teaching staff; who succeeded in bringing about a gradual change in the minds of the community people in their complete involvement towards the school activities and creating a sense of awareness that the school is a social institution. For this success a healthy relation and coordination has been able to build up among the school, learners, teachers and society. This relation and coordination has provided a high velocity in the all round development of the school and the school has established itself to set an ideal example.
